- Remember last summer when this card was selling for $75-80 each? Bruce’s stock dropped considerably when it was determined that he was human and he began to struggle at the plate. Bruce hit 14 HR over the last two months of the season and demonstrated better plate discipline in September. I still maintain that Bruce’s upside is off of the charts and, by all accounts, this is a young man who loves to play baseball more than anything else. Expect him to work hard this offseason to develop his discipline and remember that he is not yet 22 years old. I fully expect Bruce to hit between 25-35 HR next season and 100 RBI is not out of the question. If so, Bruce’s current prices will be a bargain.
