That seems to be the logical move for the Tigers going forward and they do have Ramon Santiago who has proven to be a decent utility infielder if Sizemore struggles out of the gate. I think that he's got enough polish and upside to handle himself adaquately once April rolls around.

I believe Sizemore was named starter already, or at least heavily speculated to be.

As long as Taylor stays hot in the minors, you will sell those with ease to the market in Philly. you could also put them in lots of 3 or 5 and try to unload a few more at once , at least until you make your money back.

I think Hanson is going to barely beat out Coghlan, but i hope i am wrong.

Well, some of those popcorn venders were pretty handsome.

Taking you and Derek to games this summer was a dream come true. Your willingness to allow me to be a kid is appeciated and revered in more ways than you know.

Next year we'll do more of it and perhaps we can scratch together enough funds to make it down to Arizona this coming fall!

Good to be back!

The award is a three horse race between Coghlan, Hanson, and Andrew McCutchen. The numbers say Coghlan should get the award, followed by Hanson and then McCutchen but it wouldn't surprise me to see any of the three get it.

I like the Taylor buy so long as he is productive this spring and can earn a roster spot w/ the Phillies at some point next season. The question, however, is where? Ibanez is locked up for three more seasons, Werth is coming off a career year, and Taylor is not a CF. My hope in the short term is that Taylor earns a callup a la John Mayberry Jr. last season and makes an impact.

My one year is up in mid-February.....but I may keep this portion of the blog going for longer than that.

Good to hear from you again Aman!

I like Vitters but at the same time, he makes me nervous as an investment. He rarely walks. He relies on contact. These type prospects have a high rate of failure and are extremely streaky. He rarely strikes out either and that is all that most people see in his statistics. Lets just hope he makes it to "the show" before he shows too much of this and causes his prices to plummet first.

Glad to have you back!
I have been hot and heavy into the purchasing the past month. I have even went pretty heavy into the NFL cards as well.
I agree with you guys, Coughlan DESERVES to win R.O.Y. but i dont think he will. Small market teams always get hosed.
And your purchase of the huge lot of Taylors is an amazing buy! Im jeolous! Thats an easy profit hand over fist!
